Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Blocktime (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates the Blocktime application and related services. We are based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. For privacy questions: privacy@blocktime.app.

2. What we collect

  • Account data: name, email, role (pilot, dispatcher, DO), organization.
  • Operational data: duty periods, flight logs, on-call periods, rest interruptions, aircraft tail numbers, certificate identifiers.
  • Compliance data: calculated rolling totals, lookahead results, AI conversation history.
  • Technical data: IP address, device type, OS version, app version, crash logs.
  • Payment data: handled exclusively by Stripe. We never see card numbers.

3. Why we collect it

  • To provide the service (duty/flight calculations, compliance verdicts).
  • To comply with FAA recordkeeping rules (14 CFR 135.63) on behalf of operators using the service.
  • To improve the service (aggregate usage statistics — never PII).
  • To bill you (via Stripe) and contact you about your account.

4. Who we share it with

  • Your organization: your duty/flight data is visible to dispatchers and Directors of Operations within your org. This is intentional and required for compliance functionality.
  • Service providers: Anthropic (AI processing), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), our cloud hosting provider.
  • Regulators: if compelled by valid legal process from the FAA, NTSB, or court order.
  • We never sell your data. We never use it to train AI models for third parties.

5. How long we keep it

Active accounts: as long as the account exists. Deleted accounts: personally identifiable data is redacted on deletion and permanently purged within 30 days. Aggregated operational data is retained for compliance auditing per 14 CFR 135.63 (currently 6 months).

6. Your rights

You may, at any time:
  • Access your data — visible in the app, exportable as CSV/PDF.
  • Correct your data — editable in Settings.
  • Delete your account — Settings → Account → Delete account.
  • Withdraw consent for AI processing — disable in Settings (AI features will stop working).
  • Request a portable copy — email privacy@blocktime.app.

7. Children

Blocktime is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes

We will notify you of material changes by email and in-app at least 30 days before they take effect.
